There are an estimated 8.0 million farmers and 30 million farmworkers in the country. However, training of farmers and farm workers is not offered in an intuitional manner.

The lack of formal and informal training is a major contributor to low productivity.

Vital Green has pioneered the development of formal training for farmers through six-month certificate courses in crop technology. The employability of the graduates is 55% while the rest choose to become farmers with increased productivity at their farms.
